Hey My name is Tonisha Wright  25 Years Young HAPPILY MARRIED stress free and Blessed always

His name is Isaiah and we met at a local mall . I had just gotten out of a 5 year abusive relationship and all I was looking for was a friend, little to be known I gotten more than I asked for ( thank god ) lol so I had to return something that day back to a store because it was way too small. So I returned the shirt and started walking down the other side to where the elevator was located and there he was standing there hanging out in between the jewelry store and the side of the elevator and I turned and looked at him and he smiled at me (he has a beautiful smile) and I said hey, let’s just say my heart stopped then and I was quickly resuscitated back to life in an instant lol so as he walked away the elevator was just taking its slow time to get to me so I walked around the elevator and I ran after him and said excuse me, I’m sorry to sound weird and whatnot but you are so sexy.” And he smiled and thanked so as fallen as I quickly became I had given him my number and I told him my name as well. And then I left .. so a few days later I was cursing on a dating site and as I was browsing I bumped into his page and so I messaged him and then we ended up talking for a few days.

Until we finally met 2 weeks later in the middle of winter which turned into a wonderful relationship 6 months into that we were married we are now enjoying 6 months into marriage and many more. Married Mixed & Marvelous…

How Common is Interracial Dating and Marriages in the USA?

Interracial Dating Sites popularity

According to statistics issued by the US Census Bureau and American Community Survey Data, fewer than 200,000 whites are involved in Interracial Marriages every year. It has been established that out of the 2,096,000 marriages in the United States in 2010, about 275,500 were Interracial, with 192,850 involving white partners.

The study also found out that 8.4 percent of all marriages in the United States of America are interracial. It is also worth mentioning that only 3.2 percent of all marriages in the USA were interracial in 1980. The stats also reveal that 2.1 percent of all married white women had a non – white spouse while 2.3 percent of all married white men chose a companion classified as non – white.

White men married to Asian American woman constituted about 1 percent of all the marriages in the country. On the other hand, 1 percent of married white women were married to men classified under the ‘other’ category. According to stats, white men are less likely to marry outside their race. However, the rise in the number of while men who prefer to date a person of a different race, is certainly a positive trend.

So, what has led Native White Americans to do something out of the box by choosing a partner belonging to a different racial and cultural background? Here are a few factors that experts believe to have contributed to this paradigm shift:

  • The growing multicultural society in the USA:

People from all over the world flock to the United States of America in search of better opportunities and good quality of education. This trend has converted America into a multicultural hub of the world thereby boosting interaction between people hailing from various cultural backgrounds. When you interact with a lot of people who belong to a different race, you tend to make some friends and if you’re fortunate, you’d end up finding a life companion.

  • The increasing popularity of Interracial Dating Sites:

Interracial Dating Sites such as Interracial Match have promoted interracial marriages among people from across the globe. These sites have motivated people to look for things that matter most in a relationship, while ignoring parameters of no significance. With sites including top notch features such as emailing, instant messaging, blogs and forums, among others, the average internet user is not confident about sharing his personal information online. Moreover, online dating happens to be a cost effective and highly efficient solution to all your dating needs.

It is expected that Interracial Marriages and the trend of Interracial Dating would only increase in the future. If you’re looking for a like – minded people, opting for a reliable Interracial Dating Site is certainly the right option.

What Is it like to be in An Interracial Marriage?

Getting into an interracial relationship and taking it to marriage is certainly not every person’s cup of tea. Moreover, if your relationship revolves around Black and White individuals, the complexity approaches a whole new level. As a matter of fact, relationships between the black and white Americans haven’t been great in the past. This is why the families of individuals looking to date a person from another race are always skeptical.

Nevertheless, people that did get into a relationship with a person from another have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and want everyone to try it out. Here is what it is like to be in an Interracial Relationship:

  • People tend to pass comments on your future babies: People would tell that mixed babies are cute. This isn’t an insulting comment but the underlying thought says that your babies are adorable only because they’re mixed. Mixed babies are undoubtedly adorable but so are babies that belong to a specific race.
  • The learning curve is steep: When you’re dating a person from another race, you get access to a perspective of the world that you’ve never had access to earlier. And, which you certainly cannot understand life from another person’s perspective, you can try to understand their opinions and the way they look at things. Furthermore, you’d also get to know about your partner’s culture, traditions, food and festivals.

  • Strangers might sometimes get offensive: Although people have begun to accept interracial relationships, there are still many people that might pass a rude comment in the subway or at the local bar. There have been isolated cases where people have physically abused a person because he / she were dating a person from their race. While the number of hate crimes has declined over the last 10 years, they still do exist.
  • It is nothing different from any other relationship: Your relationship with a person belonging to another race wouldn’t be very different than a relationship with a person of the same race. Experts believe that dating someone from outside your race makes the relationship more happening and there is always something new coming your way. On the other hand, dating a person of the same race as you is more likely to make things monotonous and there isn’t a lot of scope to spice up things.

Although a lot of people in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom have propagated the message of Interracial Dating, we’d like to make it clear that it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. If you’re looking to try something out of the box, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to join a dating site such as InterracialMatch.com and get the ball rolling.

After a courtship period of just 4 days, they got married in London. It was Bellson’s first marriage and Bailey’s third. Interracial relationships were nothing close to acceptable during those times and even Bellson’s inclusion in the music group surprised many.
